List guidelines
This is a moderated discussion blog for supporters of the National Assembly to discuss issues relevant to the purpose and work of the Assembly.
List guidelines:
This list is open to any National Assembly supporter or member group for the discussion of National Assembly work, including proposals for action, future strategies, campaigns, conferences, etc. It is NOT intended for general, wide-open political discussion that is not germane to our present work and current political situation.
Please sign your postings with your full name, the name of the group to which you belong, and where you are from.
Please refrain from off-topic posts. Please don’t post lengthy news articles but links to news articles are acceptable. If you wish to engage others in discussion around a particular news item, campaign, or concept, please write a brief intro above the item you forward that can serve to focus discussion. This will ensure that the list is a useful tool for communication and debate.
We want to encourage full and vigorous conversation, but also to be respectful of other points of view. Please be attentive to overposting. A good guideline is to limit your posts to one per day, except in unusual circumstances. Personal attacks and racist, sexist, or homophobic language will not be tolerated.
Moderation will be exercised at the discretion of the list administrators, in order to provide a useful platform for discussion that makes space for a diversity of voices.

When we have the bugs worked out, we should send out an announcement on our various email lists letting them know there is a discussion blog and inviting them to join.

Also, I like the idea of having article postings restricted to admins but comments unmoderated; I suggest we go with this and see how it goes; I beleve that it's possible to moderate individuals if they violate the guidelines.
